Media Vizion
Media Vizion began television broadcasts through Vizion Plus in the early 2000s, obtained a national license in 2008, and in 2016, received one of the 5 national licenses for digital broadcasting from the Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA).
Media Vizion is part of Concord Investment Group, a consolidation of several companies in various fields such as construction, port infrastructure, media, telecommunications, trade, restaurants, publishing, and others, either owned or under the control of the Dulaku family.
Among others, the group includes Media Vizion, which is one of the most significant media companies in Albania. The company owns the national private television Vizion Plus.
The Concord Investment Group is not legally registered as such but is self-declared on their online platform as the consolidation of a group of companies owned by the Dulaku family. Earlier, the same status was held by the company Edil Al IT, also owned by the Dulaku family. Concord Investment is jointly owned by the Dulaku brothers, who control several other companies through it .
The three Dulaku brothers (Adrian, Artan, Genci), their spouses (Ritvana, Holta, Melina), through shares or supervisory boards, also control other companies identified on the official pages of Concord Investment, Edil Al, and Tring TV as part of the same group.
This group, as identified on the official website of the company, includes the digital and satellite broadcasting platform Tring TV, Albanian Satellite Communication, Living Publications, the Living magazine, the construction company Edil Al, the investment company INER, the concrete production company Alb Beton, the car trading company Albanian Motor Company, the shopping centers: Galeria, Cristal, and Concord, and also other companies.
The company's online portfolio includes developing tourist villages like San Pietro and San Nicolas, as well as port projects such as Saranda Bay Marina, Marina Orikum, and similar projects.
In recent years, the group expanded into port infrastructure activities and the construction of tourist villages. The companies owned by the brothers recently won the concession rights of the Port of Limiona in Saranda in July 2020, in partnership with Kastrati Group. They leased public properties on the coast and were granted the status of a strategic investor.
This relationship has been followed by accusations of media bias in favor of the current government, accusations that they have strongly denied.
Meanwhile, following a report to the Special Anti-Corruption Structure, SPAK, by former Deputy Commander of the Naval Force Artur Meçollari, parts of the properties leased by Concord Investment and Kastrati Group, which were previously under the ownership of the Armed Forces, were placed under seizure.
In 2016, the owners were accused of censoring a critical show about the treatment of the capital's waste, in which the mayor was accused of abuses. They denied the accusations.
Artan Dulaku and Genci Dulaku were involved in the media in the late 90s as co-founders of a television initially known as Gjeli Vizion. In 2000, together with Agim Buxheli, they registered the company Media Vizion, which owned the television. They also own the paid digital platform Tring TV, founded by their spouses. The family also owns the magazine Living and a television channel with the same name.
Additionally, the brothers and their spouses are owners in several other companies. Their businesses are mainly focused on construction and property development, shopping centers, telecommunications, and media.
