‘Sot News’ is a daily newspaper. It started publication in 2002 and today also publishes online through its webpage www.sot.com.al. The newspaper was at the center of a media storm, when it published ahead of the local elections in 2007 a series of nude of photos of current Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the time incumbent mayor of Tirana. The publisher Prodani defended the decision to publish the photos by claiming that as mayor Edi Rama had no private life and rejected accusations that the decision was politically motivated.
