Gazeta Shqiptare

“Gazeta Shqiptare” is one of the oldest daily newspapers in Albania still in the market. It started publication on 22 April 1993 and was established by the Italian company Edisud LLC. In its webpage the daily claims that its history dates back to 1927, where a newspaper with the same name was published and continued until 1939, until the fascist invasion of Albania. In 2011 Gazeta Shqiptare was sold by Edisud LLC and transferred to Focus Press, founded by businessman Irfan Hysenbelliu and late banker Artan Santo. Today the newspaper is part of Focus Group, together with News 24 TV, the online portal Balkanweb.com, Radio Rash and the online webpage Gsh.al.
